밀양 대형화재참사이후 개정된 "소방시설공사업법" 이 2018년2월 9일부터 시행됨에 따라, 건축시설과 자재에 대한 규제가 강화되고 있습니다. 2002년 개발된 실리카솜(Silicafiber)과 실리카실(Silicayarn), 그리고 실리카직물 & 부직포(Silica Woven & Non-woven Fabrics)는 내화기능의 실리카(Sio2)를 함유하고 있으며 인체에 자극성이 없는 셀룰로오스의 친환경 준불연성내화재로서, 불이 잘 붙지 않고, 유독가스를 배출하지 않으며 흡수성(吸水性)이 있습니다. 실리카솜은 원래 침장의 메트리스에 사용되는 부직포용도로 개발되었으나, 면방으로 원사를 생산하는 기술이 개발되고 생산에 성공함으로써 현재는 준불연 투톤커튼, 용접복, 소방복, 장갑, 스크린천 이용되고 있습니다.최근에는 실카솜과 옥시팬을 혼방한 실로 불연용접복,불연소방복,불연파일장갑,불연토시,불연양말등의 안전제품들을 개발하여 공급하고 있습니다.
